Electronics Engineer

We are looking for a talented and experienced C++ Electronics Engineer to join ALTUS LSA Software Division, and help us develop and maintain various software products in the area of Unmanned Vehicles and Ground Control Stations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise to verify and validate requirements.
• Assess and analyze technical risks, then create and execute risk mitigation plans.
• Analyze client problems, design, and implement solutions leveraging open-source technologies and communicating the solutions in a compelling fashion.
• Conduct rigorous testing and debugging of electronic systems to meet quality and performance standards.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, test plans, and user manuals.
• Ensure all documentation adheres to internal standards and customer requirements.
• Managing technical communications with customers.
• Generate technical reports for complex development tests and analyses.
• Participate in technical writing tasks for tenders, proposals, deliverables.
• Select components and create bills of materials (BOM).
• Develop and maintain firmware in C++ for microcontrollers, embedded and desktop systems.
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Design and analyze electronic circuits and schematics for digital and mixed-signal boards.

Required Qualifications:

• BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications, or Robotics.
• 7+ years of experience for BSc holders or 5+ for MSc holders developing electronics components and systems.
• Experience of software languages such as C and C++.
• Must have experience working with embedded systems.
• Previous experience performing Root Cause Analysis.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and software failures.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills, written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate technical analysis to all levels of peers, customers, and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Be a persistent, creative problem solver.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written technical and nontechnical communication are essential to effectively communicate technical analysis to all levels of peers, customers, and stakeholders. Must work well within diverse team.
• Applicants should have Greek citizenship or be EU nationals.

Preferred Qualifications (in one or more of the above):

• Experience in design of integrated systems incorporating mechanical parts, or mechatronic systems.
• Leverage Robot Operating System (ROS) for robotics programming and real-time operations.
• Proven track record of working with communication protocols.
• Experience or familiarity with safety critical defence electronics products/ military technology, interface control documents, desired.
• Experience with other software languages, such as Python, Linux systems.
• Ability to design digital logic using VHDL for FPGA or CPLD devices.
