«Neptune Lines is a leading finished vehicle logistics provider, offering transportation and shipping solutions to manufacturers and shippers of cars and high & heavy cargoes. The company operates regular liner services in more than 40 ports in 27 countries across Europe, Mediterranean, Black Sea, North America and Far East. Its extensive range of 22 PCTC vessels enables optimal flexibility and can cater for a wide range of cargo, while achieving economies of scale across our network. Neptune’s growing network counts 3,000 port calls covering 1.3 million miles on an annual basis.

We are seeking an Application Support Engineer to act as the first handling point of issues and requests related to enterprise applications already put into operation, as well as participate in the analysis and familiarization of the users with upcoming ones.

Reporting directly to the Digital Transformation Manager, key accountabilities include:

• Support, analysis and development of business systems and applications (ERP etc.)
• Communication with end-users and software vendors to achieve these outcomes
• Overview of the installation and configuration of systems performed by vendors, ensuring the implementation is properly executed in a timely and efficient manner
• Performance of tests (end-to-end, acceptance) to ensure that the systems work as expected
• Training of end-users
• Preparation of a broad variety of reports to ensure business continuity and/or provide management insights to the Top Management

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field
• 2+ years of proven experience in a similar position (application support, business analysis, ERP implementation etc.)

Skills:

• Knowledge of one or more major programming languages (e.g. Java, C/C++/C#, VB, Python, PHP etc.)
• Knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (preferably MS SQL Server) and respective Structured Query Languages (preferably T-SQL)
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritize tasks under high pressure
• Strong communication and presentation skills (Greek & English)
• Ability to work as a team player as well as independently
• Ability and eagerness to learn and be productive with new technologies quickly
• Strong will for further improvement

Nice to have:

• Experience in one or more BI tools (e.g. PowerBI, QlikView etc.)
• Experience in one or more Process Automation Tools (e.g. Power Automate, UiPath, etc.) »
