“We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join our group at University College Dublin [https://www.linkedin.com/company/university-college-dublin/ ]. The post is under the Clean Energy Transition Partnership project “NU-ACTIS – Navigating Uncertainties:
Advanced Control Solutions for Inverter-Dominated Power Systems”.
NU-ACTIS comprises eight partners from industry and academia and is coordinated by the RISE Research Institutes of Sweden [https://www.linkedin.com/company/rise-research-institutes-of-sweden/ ], while UCD’s participation is funded by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) [https://www.linkedin.com/company/sustainable-energy-ireland/ ].
The post will primarily focus on carrying out analytical and simulation-based studies to investigate the impact of model and parameter uncertainty on IBR control robustness and to develop techniques that can enhance the overall dynamic performance of converter-dominated power systems.
